Funny Wedding Cake Toppers

The wedding cake topper is literally, the icing that sits on top of the cake. Most guests, children especially, peek at the cake topper to see how pretty, cute, radical or unique they are. Just as the lipstick helps highlight a fully made-up face, so does the wedding cake topper.
Humorous cake toppers may also help break the ice for people wanting to start a conversation. They also make wonderful keepsakes for many years to come as they sit on the mantelpiece or showcase at home, and can be displayed again and again at each anniversary – each year still succeeding at sparking off a giggle or chuckle.
Cake toppers that are humorous or funny can be normal bride and groom figurines in funny poses. Instead of the normal standing side by side pose, there are figurines of the groom carrying the bride in a weightlifter’s stance, the bride in a bikini sitting in a top down convertible driven by the groom or if the guests can take it, the bride and groom in a suggestive pose (not recommended if the guest list is predominantly conservative!). Other poses are available online and in some specialty stores, although they may not be the ones the couple had in mind.
The best cake topper may have to be custom made, as it will be too challenging and time-consuming to shop for The Perfect One. These toppers can be made from clay, porcelain or even wood so if a custom made topper needs to be done, sourcing a skilled craftsman should be a priority. Providing the sculptor with a clear, digital full shot may be enough for him or her to get a good idea of how to move ahead with the toppers.
For each of these funny toppers, the figurines do not always have to be dressed in wedding garb. More modern couples today prefer to have their cake topper figurines dressed in more casual wear so they will fit into each anniversary celebration thereafter better.
Before deciding on any particular humorous or funny cake tops, take into consideration the theme, décor and most importantly, the personalities of the couple. After all, it would hardly be suitable for a traditionally decorated wedding to have very risqué cake toppers, and neither would it be appropriate for an indoor wedding to have cake toppers of the bride and groom in beachwear, which would definitely fit a beach wedding better.
Meanwhile, it would not be appropriate for couples who are pretty conservative to have cake toppers that show them in somewhat daring poses.
Another way of having funny cake toppers could be to use as toppers items which no one would ever think of putting atop the cake. Items like wire bent into specific shapes, flags of different countries for couples of differing nationalities or even a mini wedding gown and suit, specially tailored to fit the cake.
Humorous cake toppers will always get guests humored at weddings. It is a great idea to make sure the wedding is remembered for years after.
