Open Question: I’m Lost! Dress Help!?
Posted on Aug 13, 2009 under Wedding Cake Toppers Q&A |I called an made an appointment at a bridal salon. The salon suggested I bring in pictures of dresses I like and have some ideas of the types of dresses I would like to look at. They said it helps the consultant to better serve you, if they understand your likes, dislikes, what type of dress you’re looking for, etc.
The problem is, I’m completely lost! I love wedding dresses. So, I was hoping you can help me to understand what I need to look for in a dress, so that I’m not overwhelmed at my appointment.
First, I want to know what’s going to flatter me the best:
I’m 5′4 and about 145. I’m pear-shaped, but I have a larger chest.
I’m getting married in a Catholic Church and having a semi-formal evening reception. All I know is I don’t want to look like a cake topper, I don’t want too much poof, but I want a fuller skirt.
Any suggestions? My budget is about $1,000 (not including extras and alternations)
Links and pictures would be very helpful
