Resolved Question: Wording for wedding RSVP card…so confused!!?
Posted on Dec 01, 2009 under Wedding Cake Toppers Q&A | First off, my wedding is on a tight budget…the kind of budget where I need to try to keep the price as low as I can. Lol. I’m having a bit of a delimma with invites and RSVP cards. I’ll try to explain this the best I can..it doesn’t make as much sence written out as it does when I explain it in person, so bear with me. 
I don’t technically want to say no kids invited (because there will be a few children there that I’m already aware of), but I don’t really want everyone to bring like 12 kids a piece. The venue offers a cheaper price for children between certain ages, so I’d like to know how many children in that age group would be attending so I don’t have to pay $45 a person for somebody I could a discounted price on. I’m not trying to be rude…examples for my reasoning: at my aunts wedding, two of the children were running around the head table and knocked off the $300 flutes and broke them..but that was only after knocking two tiers off of the cake. And also once at my baby shower, my cousin brought her son and he threw up on the floor…no biggie normally, but she didn’t clean it up! She just moved her chair over top of it. I don’t want to have to deal with that stuff, so I’m trying to avoid too many children..but if they HAVE to come, I’d like to know.
So I’m on the fence…how would I make it so that people didn’t assume it is ok to bring all of their children, but still be able to know if they do so that I could get the childrens price? What should I do? How would you word the RSVP card?
I hope that wasn’t too confusing..it was writing it out though..took me like 45 minutes. Lol. I’m sure there will be additional info added as soon as I see points being brought up that I forgot to mention. Thank you for all the help!
