My fiance has been involved in my daughters life since she was 7 months old. He is adopting her as her own, her bio dad is completely out of the picture. Our little girl is super excited for the wedding and asked if she could be on the cake as well, she is included in the ceremony and is also our flower girl. I am having a hard time finding any cake toppers that are family oriented. Please keep negative comments to yourself I do not want to hear them, I only want suggestions on how to find a cake topper.

Wedding Cake Toppers What Are The Choices

Posted on Jul 28, 2009 under Wedding Cake Toppers | No Comment

By Tao YacannaThat’s what makes monogram cake toppers such a hit in wedding receptions. A delicate piece of monogram signifying something significant to the couple adds a stylishly unique touch to the wedding banquet. The font style will have to be chosen. There are basically two font styles that are favored by couples for use on their monograms. Couples that tend to prefer more traditional weddings and ceremonies will probably learn toward the formal styles such as the calligraphic script that is used to engrave wedding invitations. For couples that are a little funkier and hip, they can choose from the more contemporary styles of creative fonts. These tend to be a straightforward arial or similar font that sits on a cursive base. The fonts that are more traditional will tend to look more formal and feminine and the contemporary styles are adventurous and often flexible enough to add some masculinity to the celebrations’ look and feel. The material and finish is important when choosing a monogram cake topper. Lettering that is silver or metallic looking is a basic choice that adds elegance. There are also a number of other decorative choices. Some couple will choose to have stunning Swarovski crystals on their monograms. These will add a very elegant look to a cake that was otherwise very simple. These crystals sparkle like diamonds catching lights, with each of the angles showing a prism of colors. Some couples choose basic crystals of different colors and further adorn the monogram with edible flowers. Choosing the letter combination can often be challenging. While challenging it is still a fun part of choosing the ideal monogram cake topper. The couple will need to decide which letter will sit on top of their wedding cake. Since there are no hard and fast rules regarding this, couples are free to make any decision they like. Creative Ideas for Letters on a Monogram Cake Topper Initials. This is a common choice for most. Some do with the first letters of their first names; others may use the first letters of their last names as a symbol of the union. Others prefer the romanticism of putting together their initials with their new common last name. Everyone at the wedding party should be able to figure this out. Significant Dates. Often, this would come out as an alphanumeric code of sorts. This is any date significant to the couple - the date they first met, their first date, first night together or their first holiday trip together. This is often fun as a monogram like N208 raises everyone’s curiosity and would be an excellent opener to a conversation. - 18804 About the Author: Yacanna Gifts has been helping people plan the perfect wedding since 2003. Resolved Question: Are hydrangeas poisonous on wedding cakes?

Posted on Jul 26, 2009 under Wedding Cake Toppers Q&A | No Comment

For my wedding, I am doing a 3-tiered cake with buttercream icing, no fondant. I want to have hydrangeas on the top of the cake, and waterfalling down the side, but need to be sure that they are safe to my guests and myself. Will having the flowers on the cake be at all dangerous to my guests?
First, I have yet to have seen fake hydrangeas that look real.
Second, the baker doesnt do hydrangea out of icing.
Third, I have seen them made of gum paste, but again, its something my baker doesn’t do.
