Open Question: Is it okay to cut a piece of the top cake at the wedding reception? and save the rest for for our anniversary?

Posted on Feb 28, 2010 under Wedding Cake Toppers Q&A | No Comment

I am going with cupcakes for my wedding in a tier design to resemble a cake, and putting the cake topper on top of the stand. I wanted to know if we can cut a piece out of that since it is our favorite flavor, and leave the cupcakes for guests?

Wedding cake topper?

Posted on Feb 27, 2010 under Wedding Cake Toppers | No Comment

For Valentine’s Day my fiance got me the little Swarovski Crystal Bride & Groom. We are having tiers of cupcakes for our wedding cake with a 7″ small cake for the top layer. Can anyone give me a reason why I wouldn’t or shouldn’t use these as my wedding cake topper? In the 5 years that we have been together he has got me several of their crystal figurines signifying different events in our lives so it is a personal thing for us. I would set them on a small round mirror most likely.

Open Question: Ruby wedding day. Is this acceptable, or am I being silly?

Posted on Feb 26, 2010 under Wedding Cake Toppers Q&A | No Comment

Today is my 40yr wedding anniversary-the Ruby. My husband hasn’t said a word about it, he hasn’t bought me a card, or even a cheap bunch of flowers-in fact he has given it a blank. My daughters came over with their children and I made the tea, cakes etc. I feel a little cheated, isn’t this some sort of milestone, if I say anything it will cause a row, and he will say I’m over the top, and to stop making a fuss! Just wanted an opinion.
